Its mission is to provide a learning environment for the development of talent of all ages, advance human knowledge and acomplishment through research and development and project-based learning, and enhance the public good through community service and initiatives.
Hawthorne Center for Innovation seeks out and supports "disruptive" ideas that will
revolutionize the future, while inviting
individuals of all ages and skill levels to get involved in
the research and development process that will bring these ideas to fruition.
The Center fosters development, on the time-scale of “as long as it takes,” of bleeding-edge
ideas that have failed to find support from more traditionally-oriented organizations.
